Harry, Louis, Liam, and Niall may be on a hiatus (of sorts) right now but it doesn’t stop them from getting recognized for their talent, their album, and their tours. With the Billboard Music Awards coming up in May, nominations announced this morning and One Direction scored a selection in two categories.
Our favorite boys are nominated for Top Touring Artist and Top Duo/Group and we have to say that these are well deserved categories for the lads. Anyone who has been to a One Direction concert – and the fans who haven’t but have followed along on social media – could tell you that there is nothing in this world like being in attendance while Liam, Niall, Louis, and Harry are on stage.
The boys have managed to completely transform their tour dates from concerts that last for a couple hours each night to a series of unforgettable memories set to the soundtrack of some of their best songs to date. Each night draws people in by the masses and brings them together on social media too through live update tweets, videos, and photos. Most of their stops during On The Road Again were top trending topics on Twitter! This just goes to show how much their music, passion, and stage presence mean to their fans all across the world.
On top of that, fans drove or flew from city to city, state to state, country to country, and even continent to continent to watch the lads perform on each one of their tours so far – and they’re already dedicated to doing the same once the boys hit the road again. Harry said, recently, that their time together so far hasn’t just been a job, or even a dream, for the boys themselves – it’s been a journey for them and their fans, one they’ve taken together.
There’s no doubt that the journey will only continue to get better in the future!
Their top duo/group nomination speaks for itself – the lads have completely taken over the music industry over the last five years. Their talent has only grown stronger by the day, their songs have begun to take on a more mature sound as the lads have grown up in front of the world, and they’ve managed to keep their heads and hearts focused and kind during their incredible rise to fame.
