Bebe Rexha is the latest cover star for Voir Fashion Magazine. In addition to some gorgeous new shots, Bebe sat down with the magazine for an accompanying interview where she spoke about her style icons, her relationship with her fans, and more.
As seen in the new photos, Bebe is one for experimenting with her style and when asked about her style inspirations, Blondie’s lead singer Debbie Harry came to mind. The songstress said, “Debbie Harry was always incredible. Anybody who is loud and kind of…themselves.”
Of course, whilst Bebe is slaying on the fashion front, she is also lighting up the charts with her incredible music. Amongst her new material, which Bebe states, “I’ve been working hard on it, and I’m very proud!”, is a collaboration with The Chainsmokers titled ‘Call You Mine’.
During her interview, Bebe also spoke about her songwriting process. As someone who first made a name for herself in the industry as a writer, she is more than used to inspiration striking anywhere at this point. “I could be in the bathtub… and something might just hit me,” she said. “Just recently, I was on a plane when I had an idea that I just had to get down. I was literally recording things on my phone, hoping people wouldn’t think I was crazy. I think I got away with it.”
Bebe’s been in the industry for a number of years now, and whilst her incredible talent has played a massive part in her longevity, she also acknowledges the impact her fans have had on her career. “Without my fans, I wouldn’t be in the position that I’m in. They are the most important thing. They keep me afloat.”
