Bebe Rexha has unveiled an empowering new track called ‘You Can’t Stop The Girl’, taken from the soundtrack to the forthcoming movie Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.
Co-written by Bebe, the track is a soaring anthem which sees Bebe encourage girls all over the world to stand up for what they believe in. Whilst announcing ‘You Can’t Stop The Girl’ on social media, Bebe stated “I hope this song gives a little extra courage to any girl that needs it.”
“They’re tryna take our voices / They’re tryna make our choices / So we scream loud, loud, loud”, vocal powerhouse Bebe sings, before the track builds to its stirring chorus. The track stands for power and resilience, and we are living for every second of it.
You can’t stop the girl from going
You can’t stop the world from knowing
The truth will set you free, oh

Bebe is currently a special guest on the US leg of the Jonas Brothers’ Happiness Begins World Tour. The songstress has garnered rave reviews for her performances, and we’ve got our fingers crossed that she’ll be joining the band when they bring their tour to the UK next year.
‘You Can’t Stop The Girl’ is the featured song for Disney’s Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, which is due for release in cinemas on October 18. The highly anticipated sequel sees Angelina Jolie reprise her role as the iconic villain.
