Bella Hadid and The Weeknd are taking a break from their relationship, according to E! News. ”Bella and The Weeknd have taken a break. Their schedules got very busy and it really cut into there relationship. They are still in each other’s lives though, just not in the same exclusive capacity.” E! News has also learned that the two did not spend Christmas together.
The 19 year old model and the 25 year singer started dating last spring. Last May, it was reported by E! News that a source confirmed that two were dating. They said: ”They were hanging out in Coachella and were flirting lots. They have many things in common and really enjoyed each other’s company. She loves his music as well. They are hanging out for sure now.” They also added that ”they had met each other before Coachella, but that’s where they really clicked. It’s still new.”
At New York Fashion Week this past September, Bella had opened up with ET about her relationship with The Weeknd. She was asked what drew the two together and she replied smiling with: ”You know I, I don’t know. I haven’t talked about it.” She also confirmed that she has no clue if any of the music that he writes is about her. She said: ”There’s a lot that goes on his mind, so I don’t know if it’s about me — it’s crazy what some people think of.”
In October of this year, The Weeknd opened up about his relationship with Bella with an interview with the Rolling Stone. He said: ”I actually asked her to be on the artwork for Beauty Behind the Madness. My motive was literally to work with her. But when she declined, I was like, ‘All right, cool — we can meet up face-to-face.”’ He also says he loves how hardworking she is, and how close she is with her family. ”It just kind of fell into my lap. If this had happened two years ago — well, she couldn’t. But if I’d met someone two years ago, I probably would’ve fucked it up. But I’m more — how do I say it? — clear-thinking now.”
