To celebrate reaching one million subscribers, Tidal has announced a charity concert with a superstar line up.
The TIDAL X: 1020 concert will take place on October 20 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn and will be headlined by Jay Z, Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj and Usher, just to name a few! There will be around 20 artists on the line up, with more being announced in the coming weeks.
The concert will raise money for the New World Foundation which works with community organisations on issues such as poverty and education. Their website states “we build partnerships with philanthropic allies who: value the essential truth that the people who suffer injustice are crucial to overcoming it“.
Tickets for the concert are already on sale for Tidal subscribers, whilst general admission seats for the public will be available on Friday. The tickets are priced between $74 and $244 with all proceeds going to the New World Foundation.
Tidal has also announced that the concert will be streamed live for subscribers and non-subscribers at Tidal.com.
The global music service was set up by Jay Z in March, offering fans paid subscriptions to the first of its kind music streaming service owned by artists.
