Bishop Briggs has released her first music video chalked up with incredibly captivating graphics.
Lyrically, “Baby” is extremely catchy yet the lyrics showcase a relationship that can completely throw someone off about her current relationship with Sir Sly frontman Landon Jacobs. It’s about loving yourself and therefore being able to love someone else regardless of their imperfections.
“Baby” follows Bishop Briggs’ debut album Church Of Scars, which was released back in April. It’s an irresistible anthem inspired by her infatuation with her leather-clad heartthrob “My baby’s misunderstood / How could something so bad look so damn good / Yeah he’s still my baby / Yeah he’s f—-g crazy but he’s still my baby.”
“My new single, ‘Baby’ is about my love life,” Briggs has previously said about her new single. “I feel that imperfections have a way of really showing you who someone is. This song is cheeky and light and it has left me feeling more liberated than ever.”
This single masterfully blends the traditional ups and downs in a relationship with unique graphics that are just as rebellious as the love she describes. There are many specific descriptors in the video that point to one person and details the darkness.
Fans can expect to hear more honest singles in the future as Bishop Briggs is trying to celebrate her imperfections and draw into issues that aren’t usually discussed. This is the first taste of what’s to come.
