BLACKPINK is officially heading to Europe!
On Monday, January 28th, the girl group announced European tour dates for their 2019 world tour. According to the post, the girls will be heading to Amsterdam on May 18, London on May 22, Berlin on May 24, Paris on May 26, and Barcelona on May 28.
The group announced their 2019 ‘In Your Area’ world tour last year and have been performing in Asia for the past few months. In January, the group announced that their tour would be taking them to the West, revealing plans for shows in North America, Europe, and Australia. Their dates for Europe are the first of their international shows to have been announced.
The girl group is currently one of the biggest rising stars in K-pop. Last year, their video for “DDU-DU DDU-DU” broke the YouTube record for achieving the most amount of views within 24 hours. Their success on “DDU-DU DDU-DU“ also made BLACKPINK the first Korean girl group to chart on both the Billboard Top 100 and UK Official Singles Chart. The group will also be the first K-pop girl group to ever perform at Coachella, one of the biggest musical festivals around the world.
Their achievements reflect how big their international fanbase is, and with this world tour, they are sure to make many more fans along the way.
