Written by Henry Russell Walter (Cirkut), Kya Hansen (bludnymph), and Melissa Storwick (FAANGS), whilst it has been produced by Cirkut, “Watch Me” is a sultry, sexy, indie-pop song that twists into a fired-up rap track that effortlessly showcases bludnymph as a singer and rapper that can literally do it all. Lyrically, the song paints a story from the perspective of a devilish siren who uses her powers of deception to rob her clientele blind. The track starts off progressively with the beat matching bludnymph’s teasing vocals, the bridge hits turning up the heat in every way from the upbeat backing track to her superstar voice, before crashing back down to sensual for the chorus. It’s the rap verse where it all really shines, fast-hitting beats mixed with her infectious flow and alluring vocals.
As for the music video, which has been directed by Kathryn Jankowski, sees bludnymph being this siren. She’s dressed sexily in a variety of different scenes from a forest with a metal pole in which bludnymph pole dances and pulls off acrobatic physical moves, to a scene where she’s in a bath of white gunge looking seductive and risqué with long black hair. Throughout, scenes are slightly distorted giving an air of temptation while bludnymph brings it for the performance scenes, totally showcasing the star that she is.
