X Factor favourites Reggie ‘N’ Bollie are currently taking a little break in order to pursue solo efforts and Reggie Zippy has already released two solo singles under the moniker Div3tran and now it’s time for Bollie real name; Ishmael Hamidto, share his debut offering.

Speaking about branching out on his own, Bollie says: “I had a big hit in Ghana as a solo artist before joining forces with my mate [Reggie] to form a duo band in United Kingdom. Years after mainstream success releasing music as a duo, this is my first solo release titled Crush On Me through my independent label Envision Records Ltd”

The Ghanaian star whose stage name is an acronym for best of lyrical lines in entertainment has formally announced that his first solo single will be released March 15th. This is another standout Afrobeats infused hit that will no doubt become the sound of club nights across the country.

It has that infectious vibe combined with a killer chorus making it a real ear-worm. The entertainer has posted a snippet of the official music video via his socials.

Talking about the single, Bollie says: “My new single (Crush On Me) is an Afro pop/urban song that talks about the effects of bad relationships that leaves people brokenhearted and devastated therefore making it difficult to enter a new relationship. In life one must learn from past mistakes in order to become a better person for the future and the choices to be made.
I have learned a lot musically and lyrically over the years and I believe it’s time to exhibit my growth to the world through my music and fresh sound which is a blend of my Afro root vibes with dance-hall and reggae music influence. This is a record I have carefully put together which I am really proud of and I hope my fans and every music lover out there loves it too”.
