Liverpudlian singer-songwriter Brandon Tew recently dropped his new single, “You Won’t Give,” an emotionally powerful and evocative song.
Talking about the track, Brandon shares, “You Won’t Give describes the issues within past relationships and how the tragic cycle of love creates distance between partners.”
“You Won’t Give” follows on the heels of Brandon’s 10-date headlining tour and his premiere release, “I’m Not Gonna Wait,’ which dropped in November 2022 and amassed more than 100,000 streams on Spotify, along with features in elite media outlets and the support of BBC Introducing.
He has also been invited to ‘Media City’ to film a live lounge version for BBC introducing and is currently working through a list of high-profile pre-summer supports courtesy of ‘SJM touring,’ and, on top of all this, he and his management are currently in talks with one of the world’s largest publishing houses.
Opening on sparkling piano tones, dripping with tender, quixotic hues, Brandon’s rich, velvety voice imbues the lyrics with gentle timbres, evoking shades of melancholy and longing. At once haunting and passionate, it’s a poignant voice, expressive and tinted with exquisite sonic nuances.
As the harmonics slowly build, taking on depth and dimension, the sentiment of the song expands, “ to a deliciously soft, dramatic outro.
You won’t give / Me love the way you did before / You won’t give / Me love the way you did before / The way you did before.”
Brandon Tew hits the sweet spot. With “You Won’t Give” he reveals an intimate vulnerability, narrating his need for emotional connection.
