The first look at Britney Spears’ upcoming Carpool Karaoke has been revealed.
Fans have been eagerly awaiting The Late Late Show segment since it was announced a few weeks ago. The minute-long teaser doesn’t give away too much, but gives us a quick insight into what went down during Britney’s car ride with James Corden.
The short clip opens with The Late Late Show host thanking Britney for helping him get to work, as “this traffic is just gridlock.”
We then discover the first song which will get the Carpool Karaoke treatment – ‘Toxic’! Unfortunately, fans were quick to point out that Britney appears to be miming to the track, with only James’ vocals audible. This isn’t really the Carpool spirit, but Britney is seen busting some moves. We’re pretty sure that James will have coaxed Britney to sing at some point during the journey, but we’ll have to tune in to find out!
The teaser also shows a conversation between James and Britney about her sons Sean and Jayden. The host said: “You had two kids close together. Have they seen your Vegas show? I saw my mum in her underwear once when I was, like, 11.”
With laughter, Britney replied “You’re so dirty!” before James joked, “I’m not dirty. I can’t shake the image from my brain.”
Britney is the latest in a long line of celebrities to take part in Carpool Karaoke. Adele, Sir Elton John, and Michelle Obama are just a few of those who’ve helped James get to work.
