The 46th American Music Awards is taking place at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, California. Following the live updates shared by the team on Twitter, it has been announced that BTS have achieved yet another feat in America.

The septet has won the award for the Favourite Social Artist. Apart from BTS, the AMAs brought in some major artists (Cardi B, Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes, and Demi Lovato) within the category, increasing the competition amongst the nominees.

2018 has been a really successful year for the group. But at the same time, it has also been a significant year. With their attendance at the UN summit (UNICEF Youth2030 conference) and their social endeavours, BTS have redefined the meaning of “social artist” and moved beyond the numbers.

Congratulations BTS & ARMY! How are you feeling? Share your thoughts via tweet @CelebMix.
