The 22nd July 2017 saw the first ever Buton Fest take place in Burton On Trent in Staffordshire, ran by View My Gig owner Adam Cornes, and it was fantastic!
Burton Fest was held at the National Brewery Centre, which was home for the day for many musical stars and hundreds of adoring fans who braved the rain to see their favourite artists perform.
Headliners Union J and Matt Terry both wowed the crowds with their latest hits and throwback tunes, which everyone just couldn’t resist a sing-a-long to! The crowd stayed strong through the entire day, and not even the rain put them off!
British Boyband Union J took to the stage to treat fans to throwback hits, and new material, with everyone’s favourite songs also being thrown into the performance. The dedication shown by the boys’ fans was insane, and seeing the look of happiness on all the, very wet, faces, showed off what a great show the boys were putting on. Trying to bring the sun back to Burton, Matt Terry sang his latest summer single Súbeme La Radio which features global music stars Enrique Iglesias and Sean Paul.
As well as the incredibly talented chart toppers that Burton Fest had on offer, the festival was the perfect place to showcase upcoming talent, and they were all greatly received.
View My Gig’s very own Kirby Frost took to the stage and performed an incredible set, with a personal favourite of ours being her cover of Alarm, which really showed off how talented this girl is!
Other acts that performed at the festival which really caught our eye are The Verse, Relley C, Next Stop Mars, Victoria Louise, Jamie Mathias to name but a few! There were over 40 acts at Burton Fest, both unsigned and signed, and there really was something for everyone.
From meet and greets with the incredible artists, to being treated to some amazing music, Burton Fest really did have it all. The main stage presenter, Jamie, knew how to work a crowd, and led tributes to the people involved in the Manchester and London terror attacks by playing what has now become a song of the nation, Oasis’ Don’t Look Back In Anger.
Overall, we were very impressed with our day down at Burton Fest, and we can’t wait to do it all again next year! Did you attend Burton Fest this year? If you did, let us know @CelebMix and tweet us any pictures you might have!
