By order of The Peaky Blinders (well the shows creator, Steven Knight) there will be at least two more series of the much-loved TV show.
He confirmed the news at the world premiere for series 5 which is set to air in the UK later this year. Also stating he planned to shoot both series 6 and 7 entirely on location, in his home town of Birmingham, where the show is set and where the premiere was held at the town hall.
“Birmingham is the epicentre for the show and it means so much to me to come back here year after year and start the series with a bang.”- Steven Knight at The Peaky Blinders series 5 launch.
Most of the cast turned out to watch the first episode with lucky fans who had managed to secure tickets to the event. Sadly fan favourite Cillian Murphy, who plays Thomas Shelby could not attend due to filming commitments on A Quiet Place 2.
Helen McCrory, Finn Cole, Natasha O’Keefe and Sophie Rundle were amongst the attendees.

Series five of the show will see the Shelby family take on a Glasgow crime boss with Tommy, Aunt Polly and Arthur meeting him south of the border. The show will also pick up from season 4 and see the Shelby family navigating there way through the political circles and how it affects them.
