With her fearless new single ‘Dead To Me’, pop powerhouse Cally Rhodes is burying the past and putting a toxic friendship to rest. The catchy and candid track, which comes from a place of indifference not hate, encourages listeners to say goodbye to negativity.
At its heart, ‘Dead To Me’ is about recognising when a friendship has run its course. It can be hard but sometimes moving on and protecting your peace is the only option. The song pairs Cally’s bold lyricism with production from: George Glew, Chad Rodgers and James Grover.
Opening up about her new single, Cally Rhodes said: “I wrote this song about a toxic friend and that cathartic moment when you finally STOP giving someone power over you. Sometimes people change and stick around to put you down. ‘Dead To Me’ is about taking your power back!“
‘Dead To Me’ is available here on all digital platforms and it has been added to the Welsh A-List playlist on BBC Radio Wales. The raw and relatable track is another shining example of Cally’s talent and it’s an important reminder to never let anyone dim your light.
As she continues to establish herself as one of the UK’s most exciting singer-songwriters, Cally Rhodes has once again demonstrated her exceptional ability to turn life’s difficulties into powerful pop anthems.
