Earlier today, it was announced that Camila Cabello has left the girl group Fifth Harmony. It was announced via a tweet from Fifth Harmony’s remaining members, Ally Brooke Hernandez, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane Hansen, and Lauren Jauregui In their statement, the girls wrote, “After 4 and a half years of being together, we have been informed via her representatives that Camila has decided to leave Fifth Harmony. We wish her well.”
Now, 19-year-old Cabello has spoken out about her departure from the group claiming that she was “shocked” to read Fifth Harmony’s statement about her. “Saying that they were just informed by my representatives that I was ‘leaving the group’ is simply not true,” the singer wrote in a heartfelt note. She continued her message by telling her followers that she wished “nothing but the best for them, all the success in the world and true happiness.”
Cabello dedicated most of her note to her fans by expressing her gratitude and love for them. “I hope to see you on my journey,” she informed her fans who have been waiting for a statement from her.
