What Can We Expect From The 1975 ?

After the successful release of their debut album, The 1975 are reportedly working on a new album! Obviously, this news is getting fans excited to hear what the band are working on; even more after the mysterious posts from lead singer, Matty Healy.

“We’ve writing quite a lot and there’s a lot of new music for the next record, but I’m not supposed to talk about it at the moment,” Healy said. “We don’t even know what is it yet, really. It needs time to become its own thing. We’ve got a really good idea of what’s going on, but that could change too.”

In terms of the 1975’s album’s release date, we only know that the band agreed that the follow-up would be two years after the first one. If they follow their initial plans, then we can expect the new record by September’s end. “The goal is to put out an album two years to the day when we put the last one -or at least as close as we can get,” Healy also expressed.

By posting a handwritten letter on Twitter, the band announced their work on their yet untitled second studio album. They will promote it during The 1975 Tour from November 2015, to April 2016. The British band will tour the UK, North America, Oceania and Europe-  46 dates in total. This will be their first concert tour since the 2014 The 1975 – Live 2014 winter Tour.
