Rising pop/rock trio Carpark make their presence felt this week with the release of their dynamic new single, ‘Suburbs of Hell’.

    Carpark

Produced by Spacemen (Dua Lipa, Dermot Kennedy, Sigrid) the punchy track sees the band express a joint desire to break away from their chaotic lives in the city, to enjoy a quieter existence in the seemingly more idyllic outskirts of town… but the question is, is life in the suburbs as wholesome and serene as it seems?

Deciphering the meaning behind the song, the group say via a press release: “‘Suburbs of Hell’ is a dark parallel reality brought to life, it’s about the anger and frustration of being trapped in the inner city of hell but aspiring to live out in the suburbs and sunbathe with the devil in your back garden.”

Listen to ‘Suburbs of Hell’ below:

    Introducing… Carpark

    Carpark

Born out of the ashes of a previous band, Carpark are Sophie Scott, Hattie Upton-Dance, and Lauren O’Donnell Anderson; three bad ass chicks on a mission to rip up the rule book and re-write the now old fashioned narrative of what a rock band ‘should be’.

Weaving together “nostalgia, power, and infectious melodies” to create a unique style and sound all of their own, since bursting onto the scene the band have received support and praise from the likes of BBC Radio 1’s Jack Saunders, DJ Nels Hylton, and global streaming platform Spotify, who included the girls second single ‘Not The Perfect Start’ on their prestigious New Music Friday UK playlist.

Despite having only played their first ever live show two years ago – ironically, in a friends garage – Sophie, Hattie and Lauren have been busy cutting their teeth on the live scene, supporting the likes of Lauren Hibberd, Kelsy Karter and Beth McCarthy, and performing at various festival up and down the country.

In 2022 they released their debut EP ‘The World Ended In 2012’, which to date has racked up over 150k streams on Spotify alone!

Fun, relatable, and utterly refreshing, Carpark are exactly the kind of band our generation NEEDS!

‘Suburbs of Hell’ is available to download / stream via Saviour Music Group now.
