Since winning American Idol in its fourth season, Carrie Underwood has become a worldwide country music superstar selling over 65 million records around the globe. She is renowned as one of the greatest modern day country artists and she is set to return with new music this week.
The 35-year-old singer has not shared new music, or photos since she had a bad fall in her Nashville home back in November of last year. The freak accident caused her facial injuries along with a broken wrist. Writing in a blog post earlier this year, Underwood opened up about the accident, saying: “In addition to breaking my wrist, I somehow managed to injure my face as well. I’ll spare you the gruesome details, but when I came out of surgery the night of my fall, the doctor told [Underwood’s husband] Mike that he had put between 40 and 50 stitches in,”
But, she has now shared the first photos of her face since getting stitches and she is looking beautiful and like her old self. The candid snaps were shared on her Instagram account and show her working on new music in the recording studio.
And since that teasing shot, Carrie has since kicked her comeback into high gear by sharing a stunning promo shot which looks to be taken from new album artwork. The snap was shared via social media with the exciting caption: “This Wednesday, April 11. 6am ET.”
