Tulsa based singer-songwriter Casii Stephan just released her new soul-stirring track and accompanying video for “These Hard Days.” The artist, who is known for her masterful storytelling and fearless, poetic songs that inspire hope and change, has a signature vocal style that has often been compared to the likes of Florence Welch, Fiona Apple and Carole King.

In “These Hard Days,” Casii gets real with her listeners about the uncertainty and pain she feels surrounding the pandemic . She confides, “I wish this song wasn’t relevant again. But here we are – wondering what the future holds. My hope is that this song gives you permission to scream out your rage, sorrow, and confusion. Cause we’ll never be the same.”

Authentic, intentional, and with open arms, Casii holds space for her own negative emotions while also offering support and connection for others that might feel the same way. Sonically, the song features warm soulful vocals, hope-filled lyrics that aim to empathize and unite, and moody piano elegantly intertwined with dreamy cinematic soundscapes.

In the accompanying visuals, Casii is seen in a depressed state, laying restless and pacing around the house as she searches for a glimmer of hope. As she looks around at nature and at the immense amount of beauty found in her destruction, she finds the strength and courage to see the brighter days ahead. Beautifully shot in an unobtrusive, stripped-down fashion, the visuals do a wonderful job of elevating Casii’s touching storyline and thoughtful message.

Casii Stephan is a celebrated soul meets pop artist that aims to foster hope in her listeners. She confides, “It’s such a cliched word and yet there are so many layers to it. Hope keeps us alive. It keeps us moving. But it also feels flighty some days like a pixie that does what it wants. But it’s not a pixie. It’s more like the air we breathe.

Some days it’s presence is stronger than we realize and some days we forget in our day-to-day lives that it’s there… keeping us moving forward.” The talented artist has won and been nominated for several awards, including the Independent Music Awards, Hollywood Music in Media Awards and USA Songwriting Competition to name a few.
