With 2016 just around the corner, it’s time for a quick look at what to expect from us in the coming year. CelebMix has had a fantastic start, but we want to lay down some rules and set out some promises for the year ahead. Read on, my friends…
Celebrate our One Year in style
It’s hard to believe we only launched in May of this year! So much has changed and we have grown so quickly, but we’ll be sure to give a nod back to our very humble beginnings in May 2016. Expect month-long festivities!
Continue to support celebrities
We’ve always focused on positivity and painting celebrities in their fairest possible light. In 2016, we’ll continue to support celebrities and their fans; defending corners, spreading love and focusing on the good stuff.
Change our focus to more news-focused pieces
Sometimes you can’t shut us up! Although we’ve published some really strong feature and opinion articles, we know you’re here for news, and so in 2016 we’ll try our best to be news-focused, with a feature and opinion thrown in every now and then for good measure.
Support and introduce more unsigned artists
We’ve introduced you to hundreds of new artists this year, but next year we want to take that a step further. More interviews, spotlights, featured songs, Twitter takeovers and more.
Focus on more than just One Direction!
With 1D off on their break, we’ll be reigning in the 1D pieces from our website. We have, at times, been labelled ‘1DMix’, but we’ve taken steps to balance things out and focus our attention on other celebrities, too. We’ve made admin changes behind the scenes to make sure only the best 1D content gets through, and we’ve added a new One Direction section so everything you love is in one place, without over-spamming our website and Twitter with the boys.
Grow, develop and enjoy
CelebMix exploded earlier this year, and we want 2016 to follow on in the same manner. We’ve made mistakes and we’ve learnt a lot this year. Here’s hoping 2016 is as fun, exciting and challenging as this one!
