Gregorio Torres aka Greg Fiasco is back with his new single “Devils In The Ghetto”. Born in Bogotá, Colombia, Fiasco grew up in Dominican Republic. Being the first member of his family to follow his musical dream, Greg is currently attending Berklee College of Music, studying music production and engineering.
Created in collaboration with Devn Lnell, “Devils In The Ghetto” carries a dark and eerie tone. The depiction of the narrative through strong and intense vocals aids the listener in “visualizing” the tale. Devn’s velvety vocals perfectly complement the smooth and soulful track. This emotionally charged song talks about the dark past in the singer’s life, giving it an autobiographical touch.
Several emotions including anger and agony find their way into the single as the narrator talks about seemingly hurtful past for which he still blames himself. Self hatred that is often a consequence of such experiences is explicitly justified which makes listener reflect and sympathize with the singer.
