It’s been a monumental year for Black Eyed Peas. Throughout the year they have pleased their most ardent of fans by returning to a more hip hop and socially conscious sound in hard hitting releases such as ‘Get It’, ‘Ring The Alarm’ and Street Livin’.
Perhaps even more exciting was the month of October, when the group released their masterpiece of an album Masters Of The Sun, before venturing on their first European Tour in 8 years.

Will.i.am, Apl & Taboo have all been vocal about returning to their original sound in commemoration of their 20th anniversary of their debut release. The trio’s debut album Behind The Front was released on June 30, 1999.
In celebration of their monumental career, ITV will be hosting a music special dedicated to the group which will be hosted by Joanna Lumley. The TV personality is no stranger to the band as she famously fronted the 2014 BBC documentary Joanna Lumley meets will.i.am.
In an official press release she said: “I’m both a friend to and a big fan of The Black Eyed Peas. It’s very exciting to be a part of this and I’m looking forward to it enormously.”
The one hour special will include exclusive performances of The Peas’ biggest hits as well an insight from their nearest and dearest on how they made it to the success that they are today.
The TV special will be filmed in Manchester on Wednesday 5 December and you can apply for tickets for the exclusive recording on SRO Audiences.
