Celebrity Big Brother is highly known for throwing in many twists, whether that be on the launch day or throughout the weeks of celebrities living within the house. This year, the twist is all about female empowerment. That’s right, the house will consist of an all-female line up, to celebrate 100 years since women were given the right to vote.
It's official: Channel 5 has confirmed that Celebrity Big Brother 2018 WILL begin with an all-female cast of housemates, although males will be added later in the series. Because that worked so well last time… #CBB

“Personally, I think it would be amazing to have all women in the house. We did it once before when Ziggy was the only man and it was all girls, but then the boys were slowly filtered in.” – Emma Willis.
The programme will focus on how the women interact with one another; with housemates coming from all different backgrounds ranging from politicians to performing artists.
The women won’t be alone throughout the whole series, however, as they’ll later be joined by male contestants too, where this will launch a ‘battle of the sexes’ theme.
‘Over the course of the series, as the male counterparts enter the house, the housemates will take part in a series of entertaining tasks and hidden experiments which will test their – and our – assumptions, challenge gender stereotypes and reveal fascinating truths about what it is to be a woman – and man – in the 21st century.’
Ooh, what an interesting series this will be! Emma Willis will of course be returning to host the series and Rylan Clark will be returning to host Celebrity Big Brother’s Bit On The Side.
Channel 5 are yet to confirm our female housemates, but we will be finding out shortly, as the new series of CBB will be returning, January 2nd, 2018! Let us know your thoughts on Twitter @CelebMix
