5 celebrity hobbies you probably didn’t expect

Some of our favourite celebrities always seem to be on the road or promoting a new album, but on their downtime, they enjoy spending time in indulging in the same sorts of hobbies as the rest of us. But some celebrity hobbies are a little less conventional than the ones we might have expected…

Johnny Depp collects Barbie dolls

When he’s not working on his next blockbuster movie, Johnny Depp enjoys spending his free time collecting Barbie dolls. Yep, you heard that right… Barbie dolls! The star of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Edward Scissorhands not only collects replicas of his own characters from movies such as Alice in Wonderland and Sweeney Todd, but he also collects special edition dolls from brands such as High School Musical. And speaking to Examiner, Johnny said that playing with the dolls helps him get into character when preparing for a new role. We’re not complaining!

Taylor Swift makes her own snow globes

If you’re a fan of Taylor Swift, then you’ll probably know that she enjoys crafts and DIY – and during the holidays, she takes her hobby to the next level. When Christmas comes around, Swift makes her own snow globes, which she gives out as gifts to her friends and family. The star even trademarked the word Swiftmas, which we’re sure she’ll use on merch when she heads out on tour this year.

Mila Kunis plays online games

Ever dreamt about winning over Mila Kunis and calling her your wife? Yes, we all have. What makes the star even more attractive is that, in 2016, she revealed that she was obsessed with the online video game World of Warcraft. She admitted that she spends hours fighting creatures and leveling up, and it honestly made us love her a little bit more. Perhaps she’d also enjoy spending time playing online slots games on websites such as http://slots.info? Whatever she chooses to do, we hope she won’t give up the hobby that made her even more attractive!

Ansel Elgort enjoys.. rugs

Star of The Fault in our Stars and Baby Driver, Ansel Elgort is one of the hottest actors in Hollywood right now, with upcoming films Billionaire Boys Club and The Goldfinch set to take over the box office when they’re released later in the year. When Ansel is not on set, though, he spends time admiring – and, we’d hazard a guess collecting – rugs. Yep, that’s right. He regularly posts about his favourite rugs on Instagram, and celebrated when he bought his first 1880s Persian rug back in 2014.

Robert Pattinson watches the Antiques Roadshow

We all have a guilty pleasure TV show, and Twilight’s Robert Pattinson is no exception. Aside from an obsession with Diet Coke, Robert enjoys sitting down in front of the telly to catch up on the latest episode of The Antiques Roadshow, and it’s turned him into a bit of an antique geek.

There you have it – five of the weirdest, and most interesting, celebrity hobbies. Do any of these relate to yours? Let us know your thoughts over on @CelebMix, and check back soon for more.
