Every year in the lead up to the Grammy Awards, the Recording Academy collaborates with Great Performances to present a special all-star tribute known as the, “Grammy Salute to Music Legends concert,” which aims to celebrate the careers and highlight the achievements of some of the most iconic names in music history. The concert features special performances by those being honoured themselves as well as never-before-seen tributes by others who have been inspired by them. It is a truly special event, and we are so excited that the Recording Academy have chosen to honour the Bee Gees this year.

The Recording Academy always does a great job of selecting the musicians who will pay tribute to the legends being honoured, but this year they seem to have gone above and beyond that as their latest line-up is absolutely brilliant!

The list of high-profile artists who will be paying tribute to the Bee Gees this year includes Tori Kelly, Andra Day, John Legend, Celine Dion, Little Big Town, Keith Urban, Pentatonix, Nick Jonas, DNCE, and Demi Lovato. The concert which will be called, “Stayin’ Alive: A Grammy Salute to the Music of the Bee Gees,” will not only feature these artists, but it will also feature Barry Gibb who is expected to join them for a one-off performance to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack.

“The Bee Gees were international musical icons who helped make Saturday Night Fever an emblem of 1970’s pop culture,” said the President of the Recording Academy, Neil Portnow, in a recent press release. “With expert harmonies, undeniable groove, and a personal charisma which matches their on-stage persona, the iconic band of brothers defined not just a genre, but a generation. I’m looking forward to celebrating one of the most famous soundtracks ever produced.”

“Stayin’ Alive: A Grammy Salute to the Music of the Bee Gees,” will be filmed live on 14th February at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, and then it will air on television at later date which is yet to be announced.

There is still a chance for more performers to be added to the epic line-up, as if it could possibly get any better than it already is. Trust us, this is an event not to be missed. If you want to buy tickets for the tribute concert then you can buy them here, but we’re going to take a guess that tickets are going to sell out really quickly so you need to be fast!

Are you excited to see your favourite artists perform at the concert? Are you hoping to get a ticket to go and see it live? Let us know on Twitter, @CelebMix.
