Despite the fact that it was released way back in the Summer, the world is still pretty much obsessed with ‘Closer’ by The Chainsmokers featuring Halsey. We constantly have it on repeat. So much so that, if we had £1 for every time we listened to it, we could probably afford to buy the Rover that they sing about in the song.
However, a music video for ‘Closer’ is yet to be released, although that is about to change as The Chainsmokers have announced on Twitter that our eyeballs are FINALLY going to be blessed with a video for the smash hit. On Monday 24th October, the official vid shall drop and we are already anticipating that it’s going to be a success, especially as the song is so popular.

When it was released, ‘Closer’ became both The Chainsmokers and Halsey’s first number one single on the Billboard Hot 100. As well as that, the tune topped the charts in more than ten countries including Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Ireland and right here in the UK, giving The Chainsmokers and Halsey their very first number one single in all six countries. Even now in October, the song sits comfortably inside the top 10 on the UK iTunes chart and so doesn’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon!
So far, there have been no hints as to what we should expect to see in the music video next week. Will we be seeing Rovers and tattoos on shoulders? Who knows. What we do know, however, is that the music video is sure to get our week off to a great start and put us in the best possible mood on a gloomy Autumn Monday!
