The Chainsmokers released their music video of the smash hit “Closer” featuring Halsey on Monday.
Even though the song was released in the summer, the world has yet to get a music video until now. In the video, Halsey and Drew Taggart of The Chainsmokers make out in scanty clothing, while telling the story of their relationship. Their uncontrollable need for each other even leads them to destroy a party. Flash forward from the kissing in and around a pool, and Taggart sees Halsey, probably in a hotel bar like the song mentions, and there’s still something there. The video ends with Taggart and Halsey looking at each other, with a lot of questions still left unanswered between the pair.
“Closer” recently became tied for the longest time spent in the Billboard Hot 100’s top spot with ten weeks in a row, matched only by Drake’s “One Dance.” The Chainsmokers and Halsey both scored their first Billboard Hot 100 number 1 with this song.

The Chainsmokers also announced the release of their Collage EP, set for release on November 4. It will include ‘Closer’, a brand new track called ‘Setting Fires’, as well as previously released hits ‘Don’t Let Me Down’, ‘Inside Out’ and ‘All I Know’.
