Shawn Mendes had quite a handful of announcements to make on Wednesday afternoon.
Not only did he share additional dates for his upcoming arena world tour that is to begin this spring, the Canadian crooner also spilled that two of his good pals will be joining him on the road.
“Adding tickets to a bunch of the sold out UK & EU shows and James TW is opening there!” Mendes announced on social media before revealing new tour dates, which include a stop in Mexico and an anticipated debut in Brazil. The Island labelmates previously toured together last summer.
As for the North American leg of the tour, the “Mercy” hitmaker will be accompanied by Charlie Puth. The duo playfully teased fans leading up to the big surprise.

Not to disappoint, Mendes reassured his army that more tour dates are to be added in the near future, specifically recognizing South America and asking them to be patient with the 18-year-old.
“We’ve only just started this journey, everything is so new. Including touring! I want to make sure I have time to keep making music for you guys!” he wrote in a series of tweets. “So even if I’m not coming to your country right now I promise I will get there and I promise it will be worth the wait! There’s nothing more incredible than having fans across the entire world, but remember I’m only one person and the world is a big place!”
Some of the new cities Mendes added to the tour include Mexico City, Philadelphia and a hometown show in Toronto.
