Cher is turning back time to give fans a look at her successful, over six-decade-long Hollywood journey.

On Tuesday, the 71-year-old took to Twitter to share some exciting news about the production of her musical autobiography The Cher Show, confirmed to take the stage next year.

“Just got off phone [with] Writer & Director of musical. There Will [be] performance in THEATRE WITH ACTORS, DANCERS, SINGERS!!” she wrote with enthusiasm.

The “Believe” songstress has chosen to put her life story into the hands of director Jason Moore, whose most notable work includes Broadway hit Avenue Q, films Pitch Perfect and Sisters, in addition to a few episodes of popular series such as Dawson’s Creek, One Tree Hill and Everwood.

A casting notice released back in November of last year revealed several details regarding both the musical’s plot and structure.

“In this production, the characters of BABE, LADY, and STAR represent Cher at different moments of her life- starting as a teenager who falls for Sonny Bono (BABE), a successful music star navigating the challenges of the entertainment industry (LADY) and the lady we know today with a fascinating wealth of life experience, successes, and failures (STAR). Aside from Babe, Lady, Star, Sonny Bono, and Georgia, other roles may be paired together to have the actors double or triple up on the roles.”

Tony award-winner Daryl Waters has been chosen to be the supervisor of this soon-to-be musical, which will include some of Cher’s most memorable songs from “I Got You Babe,” “Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves” and “Take Me Home,” to “Believe,” and “If I Could Turn Back Time.”

Cher has undeniably set herself up for a strong comeback after giving her first two music award performances in over 15 years last month during the 2017 Billboard Music Awards. The star, whose one of the only artists to have an EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony) to her name, also received the prestigious Icon Award that same evening. You can relive the iconic moment here.
