Speaking to the Daily Mirror today, pop princess Cheryl Fernandez-Versini chatted about her weight “issues” her fame and her charity The Cheryl’s Trust.
“No I’m not anorexic Cheryl sighs, it all started with a girl on Instagram calling us a “Bag of bones”. “At the time I was thinking, people are so quick to judge, without thinking Is there a reason why this person might be like that?. “Right now I feel we are facing a lot of body issues in general and it’s impossible”.
“It needs to slow down or stop, it’s highlighting body insecurities and it’s not right”.
Cheryl also added of the comments being made about her figure “It’s nice people are concerned, but honestly there’s no cause for concern, you can see I am completely and utterly well and happy”.
The interview took place while Cheryl was filming the first stage of bootcamp for The X Factor, and Cheryl was asked about her celebrity status.
The Geordie babe explained:
“Fame is absolutely not normal by any stretch of the imagination. It’s a weird world, one you can’t understand unless you’ve experienced it. Iv’e stopped expecting people to understand it”.
“It’s thirteen years Iv’e been doing this and in that time everything has changed. Showbiz years are like dog ones, so I’m about 105.
Cheryl also revealed that all is going well with her husband of thirteen months, Jean Bernard Fernandez-Versini, saying about their one year wedding anniversary they celebrated last month:
“It just came around like that, and it’s all good. We went to Lake Como which was great”.
The X Factor judge also talked about her charity The Cheryl’s Trust, saying:
“I have gone from wanting to do this, to needing to do this, to give something back”.
After Cheryl has spent the past six months meeting businesses in the North East, The Cheryl’s Trust is set to announce it’s first initiative this month.
