He has been in the music industry since the ’90s and he is still going strong, showcasing to the world that his songwriting and production are of the highest calibre, Chin Injeti knows exactly what he is doing and he’s proven that with his latest EP release, to which “For Better or For Worse” featuring YBTB is the focus single. This is one of five tracks that make up his latest EP titled “VESSELS, Volume Two”. This release acts as the follow-up to his previous EP titled “VESSELS, Volume One”.

Chin Injeti, the acclaimed Canadian singer, musician, and music producer, boasts a remarkable career marked by artistic innovation and collaboration. Co-founding the Juno Award-winning group Bass is Base, his journey radiated through collaborations with DJ Khalil, leading to chart-topping tracks for luminaries like Dr. Dre and Eminem. The legacy of Bass is Base merely marks the beginning of Chin Injeti’s story, as his musical odyssey unfolded alongside illustrious acts such as The Fugees and The Roots, refining his production finesse. His Grammy-winning partnership with DJ Khalil showcased his aptitude for crafting hits that resonate globally. Recent chapters of his career spotlight Chin Injeti as not only a production virtuoso but also a captivating vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and mentor, carving his path to iconic status while continuously pushing the envelope of musical innovation. Chin Injeti’s indelible mark on the industry is a testament to his dedication and visionary approach.

Written by Chin Injeti and Shadrach Paul Kabango, with Chin Injeti acting as producer as well, “For Better or For Worse” starts off with a rhythmic guitar rhythm that subtly adds to the indie vocals; vocals which hold so much emotion. From the very first word, we know that these lyrics mean something as the voice delivers them straight from the heart. As the chorus kicks in, the backing track turns up a notch with added synths that alter the rhythm while still allowing the vocals to shine. Full of so much soul while injecting humour here and there – especially in the second verse, “For Better or For Worse” takes indie-soul to a new level and wraps it around a rhythmic but subtle indie-rock track that has an effortlessly catchy chorus that is determined to stay inside one’s head.
