Chloe Lukasiak Talks ‘Dance Moms’ Return

Earlier this week, a new trailer for Dance Moms was released, which got everybody talking. The trailer featured former ALDC dancer and fan-favorite cast member Chloe Lukasiak’s return.

The 15-year-old is making her comeback during the final episode of season seven. Chloe tells Teen Vogue that she has a “pretty dramatic entrance.” “Nobody knew we were coming. Just look for Nia Frazier’s reaction,” she says. “It was the most amazing thing I’ve seen this year. And Holly [Frazier] cried, and it made me cry.”

Chloe also discusses how she decided to return to the controversial reality show after leaving back in season four. ” I came into my mom’s room one night (…) and she said she heard the girls are back in Pittsburgh and that the show might be ending,” she explains. “It made me really sad, because that was my childhood, that was how I grew up. I was like, maybe we should go back for Nationals. I would love to see them dance and kind of see what everyone’s been up to.”

Although the team is very different than when she was on it, with only Nia and Kendall Vertes left, Chloe still felt at home when she returned. “There were people I’d never met before, but for me it was very much like walking back to my own home. I was like, that is my childhood.”

When asked if she was still close with the other original cast members of the show, Chloe tells, “Nia and I have always been close, but I don’t get to see Maddie [Ziegler] and Brooke [Hyland] that often. It’s just hard to stay close when you’re traveling all over the world. We’re not as close as we used to be, but that’s just kind of what happens, unfortunately.”

Other than dancing, Chloe has been branching out and started an acting career. Last year, she starred in Center Stage: On Pointe as the supporting character Gwen. This year, Chloe is playing her first-ever lead role in the film Loophole. When asked if she wanted to focus on dance or acting in the future she says, “I want to keep doing both. Dance Moms right now, and then hopefully some more movies you’ll see.”
