Christina Aguilera has released a new song entitled ‘Changed’ dedicated to the victims of the Orlando tragedy. As a hymn of hope for the LGBTQ+ community, the songs moving plea for change and being brave leaves us with a reminiscent scent of Aguilera’s prior gay anthem, ‘Beautiful’.
In a statement made on her official website she states that “the horrific tragedy that occurred in Orlando continues to weigh heavily on my mind. I am sending so much love and so many prayers to the victims and their families. Like so many, I want to help be part of the change this world needs to make it a beautiful inclusive place where humanity can love each other freely and passionately”.
Co-written with Fancy Hagood, and Flo Reutter, Aguilera continually shows her lyrical prowess and her voice shines bright like always.
100% percent of the proceeds from ‘Change’ will also be going to the “National Compassion Fund, to benefit the victims and families affected by the Pulse shooting in Orlando”, between the dates June 17th and September 14th.
Christina Aguilera has had a very large LGBT fanbase from the beginning of her career and the appreciation she gives to the community has never gone unnoticed.
