Following the huge success of the previous series of, “The Voice UK,” which aired its grand finale all the way back in April, ITV have finally released details on the upcoming series of the show, including which superstar coaches will be filling those famous rotating red chairs once again.
Insert pause for dramatic effect…
Singing sensations Jennifer Hudson, Olly Murs, Sir Tom Jones and will.i.am have all been confirmed to return as coaches when the brand new series of the talent show airs early next year.
Emma Willis, or as we like to call her, “the busiest woman on the planet,” is also set to return as host for the forthcoming eighth series.
“I’m so happy to be rejoining my coaches at, ‘The Voice UK’. I’m ready and excited to discover some beautiful voices,” Grammy, Oscar, and BAFTA winning singer and actress, Jennifer Hudson revealed upon the announcement that she would be returning for the new series of the show.
“Now I’ve got one season under my belt, I can’t wait to see what my next season has in store for me. Last year, I managed to get seduced and I picked some entertaining performers. The other coaches may think they have me worked out but I’m coming back with a bang. Just you wait!” Newest coach and singer, Olly Murs also teased following the announcement.
So overall it seems that the producers of, “The Voice UK,” are keeping a lot of the formula of the show the same, but when it returns in early 2019 there will still be some minor changes introduced. Maybe most importantly, the fact that the Blind Auditions portion of the series will welcome trios for the first time ever.
Which is a move that host Emma Willis believes will give the show, “an added layer”.
And if the news that trios are now eligible to take part in the talent show wasn’t enough to encourage you to watch or even audition for the new series yourself then maybe the prize will because whoever wins the eighth series of the singing show will score a recording contract with none other than music giants Polydor Records.
How amazing does that sound?!
