Colleen Ballinger is spending her birthday on giving back.
On her 33rd birthday (November 21), she tweeted, “all i want for my birthday is for you to consider donating and/or spreading awareness to this fundraiser to help kids with cancer,” alongside a link to a fundraiser raising money for children battling cancer.
For the past four years, the comedian and actress has asked the internet to celebrate her birthday, not by giving her presents, but by helping children with cancer. From 2016 to 2018, Ballinger raised over $200,000, and as of now, she has already raised over $39,000 and counting for this year’s fundraiser.
This year, all the money raised will go directly to the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and Family Reach, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to eradicating the financial barriers that accompany a cancer diagnosis.
In addition to the current charity drive, Ballinger will be hosting a fundraiser on her YouTube channel on November 24, where she will be giving away prizes to people who donate. Prizes include merchandise from several YouTubers, tickets to see JoJo Siwa, Harry Styles, and Jonas Brothers in concert and much more. All donators, no matter the amount, are eligible to win a prize. People who share the link will also be entered in the giveaway.
