The woman behind Miranda Sings, Colleen Ballinger, guest starred on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to discuss her new show, Haters Back Off. The series contains eight episodes and is available on Netflix. The show centers around the fictional character of Miranda Sings and her rise to stardom.
Last time Colleen appeared on The Tonight Show, she came as Miranda Sings. This time around, Colleen came as herself!
The interview started off with Jimmy showing the audience a picture of Colleen as a young girl surrounded by her cats. Colleen said that she was able to train her cats to pee in the toilet, something she thought was normal until she attended high school.
Next, Jimmy asked Colleen about her job at Disneyland. Colleen said that between shows, she would start singing like Miranda to her coworkers. Although she made them laugh, an undercover employee reported it and eventually got her fired.

Things ended up working out, as Colleen started posting her Miranda videos to YouTube. As of now, Miranda Sings has over 7 million subscribers.
Jimmy then asked Colleen if she could get into character live on the show. While Jimmy kept the audience distracted, Colleen buttoned up in a striped shirt, pulled her hair back, and put on red lipstick – a signature of Miranda’s character.

Miranda Sings then gave Jimmy some advice into being a better host. She suggested that Jimmy should have more famous people on the show, and have guests ask HIM questions instead.
