Julia Michaels made Saturday night come alive at the House of Blues in Boston, Massachusetts. The singer-songwriter performed for the largest crowd of this tour thus far with intense passion and purpose. Between the crowd’s energy and her powerful vocals, it was almost instantly became a night to remember. The venue was undeniably packed and with countless fans lining up hours before showtime, it’s safe to say that some of her most dedicated fans were in attendance.

Opening the show up with ‘Pink,’ Michaels transformed the House of Blues into the inside of her world as both an artist and individual. With bright colored backgrounds and reasonably dim lighting, fans were able to witness an experience that touched on all of the emotions we experience as human beings both visually and sonically. Attendees knew every lyric to each song as soon as her set began and this continued until the end of the show. Whether the track was one of her worldwide hits or from an older project, supporters seemed to be personally connected to each one in their own way.

The ‘Issues’ singer effortlessly transitioned from one song to the next while still managing to engage with the audience. Her genuine energy and natural passion for the music she creates was something that especially stood out during her performance. Fans near the front constantly exchanged smiles and other ways of silent communication with Michaels. The energy that filled Boston during this concert was familiar, but may have struck those in attendance as something a bit more personal than your typical fan-to-artist connection.

Through Julia Michaels open and vulnerable lyrics, supporters from all over are able to come together and relate to the singer on a deeper level. Michaels’ honesty about dealing with the difficult hardships many face during their lifetime provides her with an undeniable connection to listeners online as well as in-person. Her lyrics surrounding heartbreak, anxiety and finding yourself when things get tough were echoed throughout the venue as if each person in attendance was experiencing the same feeling at the same time. And if one thing is certain, Michaels has released tracks that have not only turned into anthems, but have also been a part of the soundtrack to people’s lives as well.

It was a night full of revisiting and letting go of unfortunate feelings in an empowering way. Julia Michaels’ on-stage energy exuded gratitude and pure happiness to be doing what she loves most. This sort of energy became something that was radiated from not only Michaels, but from attendees as well as those who accompanied her on stage. Fans were able to hear all of their favorite tracks from the singer and bask in the feelings that they felt in touch with as a crowd. This tour is one that fans of Julia Michaels may have an issue with missing.
