After two years since the release of the best-selling memoir A Work in Progress, internet personality and entrepreneur Connor Franta is excited to announce that his second book Note to Self will be available in April.
“If my first book, A Work in Progress, was a reflection of my external life thus far, this follow-up is a reflection of my internal life right now,” Connor says in a book trailer posted on his YouTube channel.
After the December launch of an Urban Outfitters clothing line from his brand Common Culture, in which all proceeds benefit LGBTQ+ youth organization GLSEN, fans were eager to see what Connor would have up his sleeve next. The book announcement followed a seven day countdown of videos posted on Connor’s social media. Each was creatively filmed in different places, and scenes ranged from forests to bedrooms to foggy streets.
“Through essays, thoughts, stories, poetry, and photography, I share a part of me I rarely show to…well, anyone,” Connor writes about the book. “I’m not going to lie, it’s a very emotional read, and manages to fill a spectrum of colors. But, you know, I think that’s exactly why you’ll fall in love with it.”
In Note to Self, Connor gives insight into his life regarding topics like clinical depression, social anxiety, self-love, and acceptance. Readers will see Connor open up about his struggles with love and loss, and take a deeper look into his aspiration to maintain an authentic self amidst his social media presence.
“This is Note to Self,” Connor said. “And this one’s for me.”
