It looks like Sam Hunt stole her freedom and changed her mind after all!
Over the holiday weekend, the “Take Your Time” singer popped the question to muse Hannah Lee Fowler, a rep for Hunt confirmed.
The 31-year-old has been fairly hush-hush when it comes to his on-again, off-again relationship with Fowler, who was the inspiration behind his debut album, Montevallo. However, Hunt openly discusses the hardships of their roller coaster romance in his new song, “Drinkin’ Too Much.”
“I’m sorry I named the album Montevallo / I’m sorry people know your name now and strangers hit you up on social media / I’m sorry you can’t listen to the radio / I know you want your privacy / You’ve got nothing to say to me / But I wish you’d let me pay off your student loans with these songs you gave to me,” he croons.
In the apologetic anthem, Hunt addresses his fiancée by name. “You changed your number and moved and this is the only way I can reach you / Hannah Lee, I’m on my way to you.”
