Dakota Cohen has released her much-anticipated music video her debut single, ‘No One’ that her fans have been waiting for. The singer stars in a fun, girly, upbeat video that screams independence and GIRL POWER all in one. After just two months of releasing her debut single, the American Idol alum has made a comeback, and this time with a video that visualises the song perfectly.
The video was directed by an all-girl team of five teens, who managed to complete the shoot in two days. Throughout each scene, we see Dakota in a variety of locations, singing her heart out and telling herself that no man is worth her time and unhappiness. We see her having fun and being a teenager who knows her worth and won’t stand for anything less.
With a bubbly and fun energy which sets the mood for what is only the beginning of Dakota’s music career, the video sets the mood with soft pink tones and a girly vibe that is perfectly suited to Cohen’s bubbly persona, her personality is like a beaming light in the music video and is what is so intriguing about the artist.
Back in May, when Dakota first sat down with CelebMix to speak about her new single, she said that the song was written for the times when she’s out with her friends, hanging out and “just want to jam out to a song that talks about what we’re thinking about.” The music video and song are perfect for anyone who wants to vent out their feelings and sing their broken hearts out to the world.
