Actor Daniel Radcliffe is being called a hero after rushing to help a tourist who was visiting London with his significant other.

The Harry Potter star was in West London Friday evening when he alongside some other people helped the victim after he was attacked.

The gentleman, who is in his 50s, was mugged and slashed in the face by two thugs riding by on a moped.

The thieves also stole a Louis Vuitton bag from the victim and his partner before the actor arrived to help.

Metropolitan police stated: “The victim – a man aged in his 50s – was walking in the road when two people riding a moped snatched his bag before riding off.”

“The victim suffered a cut to the face during the incident.”

Daniel Radcliffe’s representative did confirm to Fox News that the actor was at the scene that evening but could not comment further as it is now “a police matter”.

A former police officer named David Videcette told The Evening Standard he saw Radcliffe consoling the man.

“It was a bit of the surreal moment, I said ‘you’re Daniel Radcliffe’ and he replied, ‘I am,’”

“He was a really nice bloke, a lot of stars wouldn’t have stopped to help” Videcette told the news station.

Videcette also stated that he had seen the moped-driving criminals speeding down the road, studying individuals before picking their target.

He called the police once he realised they were acting suspicious and now London police are currently investigating.

Thankfully, Daniel Radcliffe shows that no matter how famous you are, you are still a human being who can help out others.
