Channel 5 have announced that David Gest has left the Celebrity Big Brother house.
In a statement on their website, Channel 5 state that:
Due to medical reasons, David Gest has decided to leave the Celebrity Big Brother House. His exit will appear in tonight’s show on Channel 5 at 9pm.
In recent episodes, we have seen David resting and being excused from tasks due to ill health. He was also thought to be ‘dead’ by housemate Tiffany Pollard, after a horrendous mix-up, when Angie Bowie told her that David Bowie had died.
David had been one of the favourites to win this series and will no doubt be missed by the other housemates and viewers alike.
He is also the second to quit this series, after Kim Kardashian’s best friend Jonathan Cheban previously walked out. Many of the other housemates have also threatened to quit, and that comes as no surprise considering the amount of tension and arguments. This series of Celebrity Big Brother has been the most dramatic and jaw-dropping in a long time.
