David Ramirez Shares Music Video for ‘Time’

Austin based singer-songwriter, David Ramirez, shares the music video for his latest single “Time”. The track is the third single drawn from his upcoming album We’re Not Going Anywhere due to be released on September 8th.

The release of the music video follows his previous singles “Twins” and “Watching From A Distance”, which are both drawn from the same upcoming album.

The video showcases the recording process of We’re Not Going Anywhere, with a little bit of a personal insight from David’s old adventures, friends and, his development and growth in life.

“I went into the studio with plans to document our time there and by the second day, after recording most of the song “Time”, I knew I wanted it to be the backdrop for the film. It’s easily one of the dreamiest songs I’ve ever recorded and framed against the black and white montage of memories from the studio, it comes across with more nostalgia than heartbreak.” – David Ramirez on ‘Time’ music video.

Speaking more about his awaited album, David – an American of Mexican descent – describes WNGA partly as a response of protest and defiance towards the current American political landscape.

We’re Not Going Anywhere – the four words driven by Ramirez’ own background which identifies a record of promise and protests at a time of socio-political agitation: “so many cultures in this country are being viewed as un-American and it breaks my heart. My family has raised children here, created successful businesses here, and are proud to be a part of this country. Most of what I’ve seen as of late is misplaced fear. I wanted to write about that fear and how, instead of benefiting us, it sends us spiralling out of control.”

Pre-order of his upcoming album is available through his website.
