Nick Jonas’ career began on the Broadway stage when he was just seven years old, and back then even he had no idea that he would become the superstar that he is today. Since then, Nick has tried just about everything that there is to try. He is a talented singer and songwriter, a producer, an actor, a cocktail connoisseur (a Bombay Dream, anyone?), a designer… Okay, you get the point.
Whether you know him as, “the curly-haired Jonas brother who used to wear a purity ring,” or as the handsome, kind-hearted, and unbelievably talented guy who is now a star in his own right, there can be no denying that Nick Jonas has already achieved more in his twenty-four years than most people achieve in their entire lives. He is a Grammy-nominated artist with nine albums (not including his live albums, extended plays, and soundtracks) and numerous Top 10’s under his belt, and that is just for starters! Up to now, he has been in eight movies including two concert films, had three long-running roles in television shows, and too many guest appearances on shows to count. He is also a founder of Beyond Type 1 which is an organisation that benefits those who suffer from Type 1 Diabetes, and an advocate for many other important issues including those in health and education. And believe it or not, that is only the tip of the iceberg.
But all of Nick’s achievements wouldn’t have been possible without the love and support of his loyal and insanely dedicated fans who have been beside him since day one. Each of his fans is incredible in their own right and each has their own story to tell, but when we wanted to find out what the life of a Nick Jonas fan truly entails, we turned to one in particular… @DailyNickJonas
Can you briefly introduce yourself?
Hi, I’m Marily and I’m twenty-two years old. I’m from Aruba and I run Daily Nick Jonas with a couple of my best friends, Julia, Izzy, Shannon, and Sabina.
When and how did you first become a fan of Nick Jonas?
I first became a fan of Nick Jonas in 2006 when I saw Year 3000 on the Disney Channel.
Why are you a fan of Nick Jonas?
I’m a fan of Nick because he is smart, interesting, talented, funny, handsome, goofy, loving, honest, and compassionate!
What made you choose to run an update account for Nick Jonas?
My friend Julia asked me to start an account dedicated to Nick a year ago and it just happened.
Roughly how much time do you spend running your account?
Well we all try to pitch in as much as we can. We spend all our free time trying to keep everyone up to date on everything Nick Jonas.
How many followers do you currently have on your account on Twitter?
We have 16.5K followers!
Do you prefer to post more informative tweets on your account or fun pictures and videos?
A little bit of both. Information is key but if we only post written updates then we could become a bit mechanical so we try to have an even balance of informative tweets and pictures and videos.
Would you say that you have made any friends online through your update account?
Absolutely! Everyone on this account is my friend! I’ve also made friends with some of Nick Jonas’ Ambassadors and a bunch of other amazing people too.
Has Nick Jonas ever noticed your account and if so, how did it feel?
No, he hasn’t.
What is your favourite Nick Jonas song?
I don’t have a specific favourite song. Each song is my favourite because each of them is unique.
And what is your favourite thing about Nick Jonas?
His motivation and the passion he puts into everything he works on.
Finally, if you could say one thing to Nick Jonas then what would it be?
That I’m so proud of him!
