Following on from the superb ‘Left Me Yet’, singer and songwriter Daya is back with a new track called ‘Keeping It In The Dark’.
Taken from the soundtrack to the forthcoming third season of 13 Reasons Why, the track sees Daya talk about a secret relationship. “It’s our little secret, we’re keeping it in the dark,” she sings, as she relays that nobody else needs to know or be involved – what’s important is the relationship between the two of them.
The track is a mid-tempo jam which shows a different side to Daya’s stellar vocals. It’s a dreamy and hypnotic offering which serves as a fantastic standalone release from the multi-talented songstress. It also fits in perfectly with the tone of previous 13 Reasons Why soundtracks. With the initial trailer for season three teasing a potential romance between Zach and Chloe, ‘Keeping It In The Dark’ could well be the soundtrack to their story.

‘Keeping It In The Dark’ is one of many new songs to be taken from the 13 Reasons Why season three soundtrack. Lauv and Anne-Marie have already unveiled their offering, ‘fuck, i’m lonely’, whilst the likes of 5 Seconds of Summer, Yungblud, and Charli XCX will also be contributing tracks.
