Former HomeTown member Dayl Cronin has become part of Dancing With The Stars Ireland for its first series. It launched on the 8th January and follows celebrities and their professional partners.
Last night Dayl and his dance partner Ksenia Zsikhotska performed the Charleston to the song ‘My Way’ by Calvin Harris. Dayl has a history of dance but this is a completely different style for him and all of the other celebrity dancers.
After being very nervous about the performance, they went on to get the highest score of the night, 23/30, so the six weeks of training definitely paid off!
There has been a lot of support on social media for Dayl in the build-up to the show, especially on Twitter and on his Facebook page. He has also taken to social media to thank everyone for their support and messages.

In HomeTown, Dayl did a lot of backflips in their performances and he’s hinted at there possibly being a backflip on Dancing With The Stars in the weeks to come.
Next week, Dayl and Ksenia will be dancing the Tango. The show airs Sunday’s on the Irish TV channel RTEOne.
