Fresh from the news that DJ Calvin Harris and singer Taylor Swift had split-up after 15-months of dating, and Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid’s shock break-up, US sensation Demi Lovato has now called time on her six-year relationship with Wilmer Valderrama.

The former couple started dating after Demi had just turned 18, shortly after she entered Rehab for emotional and physical issues.

Wilder, 36, and Demi 23, have only ever broken up briefly once in the past, with Lovato admitting it was during her relapse, but sadly it looks like the couple have now officially ended their romance for good.

Despite the break-up the pair have said that they remain “best friends”.

Lovato who is gearing up for her joint tour with RnB superstar Nick Jonas announced the split via social media with her and Valderrama posting a joint statement.

The break-up comes as a bit of a surprise as the now former couple always looked so loved and up and always seemed like the perfect couple.

They even attended the Billboard awards together last month, which was the pairs last public outing together.
