We have a brand new single release from Diamond White, this week, titled “Ringtone”. It features Olivia O’Brien and really showcases both these incredible artists. The song follows up Diamond White’s “Westside Weekend” and Olivia O’Brien’s “RIP” which features G-Eazy & Drew Love.
Diamond White is best known for being a contestant on the second season of the US version of The X Factor. She was put on Britney Spears’ team of Teens, where she made it to the live shows – she came in fifth place. Since then, she has been building up her music career, releasing awesome songs and an EP. We still simply adore “Empty Cup”. For many years, she has been acting, appearing in the films Boo! A Madea Halloween and Boo 2! A Madea Halloween, as well as taking on voice roles in the TV series’ The Lion Guard, Pinky Malinky, Sofia The First, and Transformers: Rescue Bots; as well as appearing on Sing It! She is certainly one to watch in the entertainment world.
As for Olivia O’Brien, she’s best known for collaborating on gnash’s song “i hate u, i love u”, which was a global successful song. Since then, she’s released a number of singles, including her own version of the gnash song, titled “hate u love u” which is her top streamed song to-date, followed by the song “Complicated”. She’s got a tonne of fans supporting her and it’s going to be interesting to watch her rise to stardom.
This song was written by Diamond White herself and is really personal. She brings her typical R&B sound with her incredible vocals. The lyrics paint a picture of how she’s been listening to old her and how she’s decided to leave the guy she was with. Her song is positive and cool, with brilliant vocals and a catchy hook. Olivia O’Brien also manages to impress with her rap-style verse and gutsy vocal. This was a collaboration that we didn’t know we needed until now.
