Dina Renee is a delightful emerging pop artist in the industry who you must keep on your music radar. Originally hailing from Knoxville, Tennessee and now based in Los Angeles to pursue her musical dreams, Dina Renee is a pop singer and songwriter who has recently debuted her brand new single titled “What I’m Not Gonna Do”, last month.
The track perfectly blends Dina’s masterful lyricism and catchy melodies over organic instruments and her intimate vocals to give the perfect blend of elements to satisfy any listener. This latest offering marks Dina Renee’s third release with her last single hitting over 100k across all digital streaming platforms. It also received rave reviews from several media publications and blogs. Talking about the inspiration behind the single, Dina explains,
“This song was inspired by a friend who kept going back to the same abusive relationship. I wanted to write a song to help empower her and others to know that they can stand on their own without the abusive relationship that traps them!”
Further, she explained more about the writing process of the song, stating,
“I went into the studio and wrote this with my co-writers within 45 minutes. Sometimes the most catchy and effortless songs are the ones that end up becoming my favorites later on.”
Currently, Dina is back in the studio and working on her upcoming music projects in form of her new singles that are due for the release later this year, in fall. You can catch her in action, performing live, at famous venues Sayers Club and Genghis Cohen around the city. Dina Renee plans to continue releasing singles, followed by a whole EP in the coming future and going on a live tour to perform for her audience.
